I always think I'm just popping out for a picture or two.
I pass the coat closet on my way out the door.
But I don't need a coat, or gloves for that matter.
Certainly not gloves.
I'll just be out for a minute.
However, I'm a grass is greener girl, and the best pictures are always just a little bit farther. I get there, wherever there is, and see an awesome picture....just a little bit farther.
Frostbite is my friend.
Gorgeous as always! We have yet to have our first snowfall and photos like these make me want a little snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I' glad you went just a little bit farther but I'm sorry about the frozen fingers.
ReplyDeleteYou must live close to where I live. Not that I'm trying to be scary blogstalker girl. Those hills just look like hills we see around here. Here being SW Idaho. :)
OH, what beautiful country. Love the red berries in snow.
ReplyDeletenoooo, you do not want frostbite my Dear! Be smart about this and put your gloves and coat on. I only walked to the end of our driveway and back for the mail a couple of days ago, WITH gloves on and still my fingers were frosty when I cam back indoors. Doesn't take long to get them chilled.
ReplyDeleteOh Teresa, those pictures are breathtaking. I cannot imagine just walking out my front door to such a gorgeous view! I even showed my husband this morning and he was in awe too! Have a beautiful day!

Gorgeous. Shivering for you, but gorgeous. It is COLD in New York, but the skies are clear so no snow for us yet ... How lucky you are to live in such a gorgeous place!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I miss the snow so much. We get a bit each year here in NC but nothing like the North.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful Theresa.... you must have warmed up by now or it would have been difficult to type!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture with the arbor! And the one with the mountains almost looks watercolory (don't think that's a word but what the heck).
Enjoy your snowy weather,
Chris
Wow, these shots would make wonderful postcards or Christmas cards. I will enjoy the snow through you since that doesn't happen around here.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh out loud. I do the same thing ... half the time in my nightgown. A robe will keep me warm, right? I enjoy your photos immensely ... losing a few toes and fingers along the way is a sacrifice, but it's very much appreciated by this reader. Gorgeous! Thanks for inspiring me today! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, these are so beautiful! It's just so crisp and amazing there! Thank you for sharing today.
ReplyDeleteBecca
Thank you for suffering from frostbite and hypothermia for those beautiful photos! Hope you're enjoying a warm cozy fire and a big mug of hot chocolate now! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, how familiar that sounds!! Gorgeous photos & homeplace!
ReplyDeleteThank you for suffering frostbite for some winter eye candy for us all to enjoy! I love those red berries with snow! God certainly knows how to create a breathtaking landscape, even in the dead of winter!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos. i never venture any farther than my own yard for photos when it snows. but i'm thinking i might take a walk later and see what i can find, since it's snowing now and is supposed to do so well into the night.

Silas is up sassing around in his crib. Ruby and Cory are out cold. Calvin is out *in* the cold, bundled up and shoveling the lane with a pint-sized shovel from Dollar General.
ReplyDeleteLet it SNOW!
That pic of your front walk and the trees -- gorgeous! I think winter has to be so pretty to make up for all the cold and snow shoveling. :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW - I started wearing finglerless gloves this year and I love them. You can do just about anything in them and never have to take them off.
Simply beautiful! Thanks for posting them. Its a treat for me, never anything like that here in Florida! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely snow. Thanks for risking frost bite to share such beauty. Love the canoe!
ReplyDeleteAnnette
Teresa, you honestly live in heaven on earth. I’ve never seen any photos more beautiful in my life. I don’t know how you stay indoors at all. I could just wander and wander around and the shot of the mountains--Wow. I love your blog-it’s beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAmy
Whats a little frostbite when you get such glorious pictures! Thanks for sharing your winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteYou could just put some gloves in your camera bag! I love your blog and could get lost in your photos...they're truly spectacular! Stay warm, my friend!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Joni
I have to laugh at this post. I do the same thing...exactly the same thing. Good to know I'm not alone! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!!! Still waiting for a decent amount of snow here!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the time I went trapecing acros a field to get a photo of a really neat barn in the snow. All went well until I stepped down into a sunken hole and went face first into the snow! Got a great shot though!! Little bit cold, wet, and muddy for the walk home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blog so much! thank you for sharing your life with us
We don't have snow yet here in central IL but this makes me want it. Don't tell my husband though he has to deal with frozen cattle waterers and a whole host of problems- but it makes it feel like Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAs always gorgeous photos- those could be Christmas cards!!
I'm like that too, just a little bit farther. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Just gorgeous! It's worth the frostbite. Of course it's not my limbs being sacrificed.
ReplyDeleteJust stunning. But I have to go put a sweater on now cause these made me feel frosty, just through the computer.
ReplyDeleteYou are a fantastic photographer!
hi
ReplyDeletethe snow photos they are great!!!!!!!!!
the red berries and the white snow.....perfect.
greetings from germany,
regina
What's a little frostbite for such lovely moments captured in time....you'll heal...right?!?! Our snow is melting...so not pretty. It's the unattractive stage of winter. Like getting up in the morning after a fancy party and you didn't wash the makeup off you face the night before, kinda not pretty.
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of sounds like my 14 year old niece...
ReplyDeleteO-M-G!!
Those photos are stunning. Truly fantastic, Teresa.
You, my friend, are AMAZING!
~mary~
lovely, lovely photos. Hope you've warmed up some pictures to take some more beautiful pictures for us!
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to tell you how envious I am of your gorgeous snow! Please feel free to cross everything that we have some ourselves on Christmas!
