Crisp, clear afternoons and beautiful, vibrant colors.

It will all be over soon, but for now, I'm loving these color-filled days.

How about you? Are you having a beautiful fall?

Chilly mornings?

Blue skies?

Or are you having drizzly, cozy, make a pot of soup days?

Indulge my inner weather geek and tell me what it's like at your house!

  4. We've had so much rain in Michigan this fall - I LOVE falling asleep to the sound of rain! Our days are more dark and moody this year but we have gorgeous color too and when the sun does shine it's magnificent!

  5. The past few days have been chilly drizzly and windy not fun - want blue skies and chilly mornings back

  6. Rain for a week . . . But I, for one, think the colors are more vibrant against gray, rain filled days. Having said that . . . I prefer blue sky days though!

I found a new soup while I did some late night browsing last night. Certainly is soup weather around here. This was a potato with scallions and bacon . . . Looks yummy! Want me to send it your way?

ALWAYS great to see Meadowbrook . . .

  8. Rainy day here... LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm planning on overnight guests here. We're looking to sitting around over Pie and coffee.

I might even pop that popcorn and pull out a few games.

    Love that chair.

  9. Glorious Colorado fall! Which is probably similar to a Montana fall - deep blue skies, golden leaves and crisp, cool air. (Though today it will be 75!)

  10. Gorgeous Aspens dressed in yellow against the bright blue sunny skies, outside my window this morning here in Colorado Springs. Fall is the season of "home" for me.

  11. Here in usually rainy Portland, Oregon we had an unusually long Indian summer that finally came to an end with 4 or five days of windy, rainy days beginning last Friday. Then, back to beautiful, mild and sunny for a couple of days, then today it's gray, rainy and windy again.

  12. Beautiful fall here in Virginia. I spent five days in northern California on business last week, and I returned home to find that fall had arrived, the trees are turning, the air is crisp, blue sky, and turtlenecks are the uniform of the week. I love it. After a rainy yesterday, we have sunshine predicted for the next few days.

I love hearing about your Montana, because it reminds me of our daughter who moved there five ... no, almost six ... years ago. She loves it there, and I can see why. (I miss her, tho)

  13. Hi Sweet Friend! How are you? It's a brisk, breezy, sunny day in NEOhio. Loving the flurry of beautiful leaves in the air, and the mix already on the ground. We've been visiting pumpkin farms & enjoying the season. Hugs to you! ~Sal

  15. Beautiful blue skies and cooler temps (49) this morning in northern Louisiana. Our trees have't really begun to color yet. Love seeing yours.

  16. elizabeth above gave our weather report - same - we're in Corbett, in the Columbia River Gorge. Our fall colors have been a bit disappointing this year for some reason. Last year they were great. But I'm happy with the grey skies, it feels calm. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  17. Here in NYC today has been an every type of rain day, from downpours this morning to a drizzly mist right now. The weatherman promised a sunny weekend with average temps in the 60s. Looking forward to the sun making a return!

  18. Was so glad to see Meadowbrook Farm highlighted on my Google Reader!! Welcome back my friend!

Anyway, here in St. Louis we've had just about every kind of weather in the last week except snow. There's a saying in STL that if you don't like the weather, hang around....it will change shortly.

Of course here in our town, the only thing that people are talking about is our beloved Cardinals. Go team go!!

  19. Hi Theresa! It feels good to see a post from you and get my Meadowbrook fix!

The weather here in Northern California has been all but dreamy...perfect tempurature, nice breezes, not a cloud in the sky and dreamy nights. Nice break from searing summer heat we had!

Hope all is well with you,
    Carol

  25. Here in near Bristol England, we have had a rare day of warm Autmn sunshine and clear blue skies - such a welcome relief from all the rain/storms/flooding our beautiful country has suffered this year. Love your blog, I found out about you from a friend and will be visiting regularly. Wish my pictures were half as good as yours!

  28. It's been lovely here in central NC. Beautiful blue and white skies with comfortable temperatures. Chilly enough at night to need an extra blanket on the bed. :-)

I'm a weather geek too. I just love the weather. I miss the old days when the weather channel was just weather instead of all these shows.

  31. Windy and rainy today! After 3 months of no rain and watering plants EVERY SINGLE DAY... even after October started, I was actually THRILLED when it rained last week for the first time... although I will probably regret that when the 3 (or 6) months of rain keeps on coming this winter!

  35. Here in Oregon we are enjoying typical seasonal moments of overcast bleakness paired with rain (light, medium AND heavy) when suddenly there will be one crystal clear day (the last one for quite a while, I suspect) filled with sunshine, blue skies and autumn leaves.

And there's snow on the mountains, the official signal of the start of soup season.

  36. Over here in Malaysia we do not have the four seasons but we only have sun, sun and sun, 80 degrees Fahrenheit. And then we have short seasons of rainy days. And it's been raining the past 2 weeks which I hate to admit has been making me miserable.
