since you'll be shopping friday....


....these little gems are on clearance at Pier 1 for only $1.68. Very cute, very retro. Just do me a favor. If you get them, please make sure the beverage to be consumed matches the picture on the glass. That particular issue has caused a squabble or two around here. And those squabbles may or may not have been instigated by me. It just seems very wrong to see milk in the lemonade glass. Bad combo.

    Those glasses are great. I was at my Pier 1 a few weeks ago and didn't see them. I'm sure if they were there, they would have caught my eye! And I know what you mean -- I have vintage juice glasses with tomatoes on them. No one can anything other than tomato juice in them. My rule!

    I agree! But I have a question, where can I get that wonderful tablecloth underneath the glasses????? Very choice! Happy Thanksgiving! And no, I do not shop on Fridays! Unless it is at 4:00 in the afternoon, then everyone is home sleeping! There are still some deal out there....LOL

    Well, I am a girl as lucky as you - I already have the set, birthday-gifted to me by one of my swell pals. I LOVE them! And I hadn't thought about matching the beverage to the picture, but now I will, forever and ever. Thanks for that. :)

    My mom has beverage rules as well -- if you take a glass bottle of Coca Cola, it's so great-looking and so appealing that you have to drink it right out of the bottle. No pouring it into a glass.
